Jimmy Donley - Born to Be a Loser

This is a rather largely abridged bio of Jimmy Donley of Gulfport, Mississippi but hopefully it will encourage you to research and read up of one of the most tragic, heartbreaking stories of any Rock and Roll singer in the history of the genre. Little is mention of his illness and his relationships with his mother and father that I think really set the tone for Johnny's future.

Unfortunately the book, "Born to Be a Loser: The Jimmy Donley Story" is out of print and "used" paperbacks are available on Amazon for about $100.00. I would suggest if you're interested, there's lots of "free" info about him on line. I also strongly recommend you visit at least 3 or more sites since even "unknown legends" can have variations of their life story.
